The fire alarm just went off, so we all went and stood in the car park for ten minutes

The desk move seems to have been postponed due to desk-moving chaps from two different departments turning up at the same time. Following a recent re-apportioning of responsibilities by middle management, they were unable to decide which lot was actually supposed to be doing it, so they gave up and went away again
