But did whatever happened happen because what didn't happen happened because something happened that hadn't happened previously?

I did some gardening yesterday.

Cut the lawn & hacked down some overgrown bushes.

I'm now knackered.

There's only another 12 feet of bushes to cut down to some reasonable size...
