Just updated the DNS records for one of my spare domains to point it to an EC2 server
Now I've got to wait for the DNS change to propagate to Virgin's DNS serversComment

Due to 3's inexhaustible supply of fail, I finished up being unable to get to my account management thingy on their website, and had to do the "Forgotten password?" dance (this was a couple of weeks ago, BTW). It turns out that they reset your password and text the new one to the associated mobile number - but as this is actually a modem, rather than a phone, you need software capable of retrieving the message from it.
This is, of course, a feature that they didn't see fit to include in their Mac software
So I had to fire up a Windows VM, install the modem on that, and get the new password that way.
It didn't work
So, thinking that I might have an old password expiry message, I requested another password reset. Within a moment it arrived
That one didn't work either. Furthermore, it informed me that I'd made too many failed login attempts and it was locking my account for an unspecified period of time
