However I don't want to treat TPD as if it was Twitter, so it behoves me to drivel more than 140 characters
Am I there yet? It's surprisingly difficult to estimate how many characters constitute 140
Do our lovely friends the smilies (or smileys if you must) count? If so, does count as six characters, or just the one character we all know and love?
Come to that, how are line breaks implemented? /n is, for most practical purposes, equivalent to /r/n, but is one character shorter. Does Twitter deal with such anomalies, and if so, does it deal with them gracefully? I assume so, but such a thing can be hard to get right
Anyway, I must be there by now - consider yourselves pseudo-tweeted, and goodnight
