(Or Wheelbarrow, for that matter.)
I learnt to drive back in 2001, and bought the car from a friend the day after I'd passed my test. It was considerably more powerful than the driving school Corsa, and thus most exhilarating
A day or two later the Beeb showed A Milhouse Divided, in which Homer gets a divorce so he and Marge can have a proper wedding. Homer's self-written vows are read by Reverend Lovejoy:
"...in quiet solitude or blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated..." [consults the notecards] "...and it goes on like this."
Given the regrettable tendency of our colonial cousins to refer to apes as monkeys, I immediately concluded that this was the perfect description of my noble vehicle. Over time the phrase "jet-powered, monkey-navigated supercar" gradually mutated into "Super Monkey Car"Last edited by NickFitz; 6 March 2009, 22:41.Comment

Better get some pink glittery nail varnish, if they're that insistent...

I took it out when they first appeared. I dutifully used it for months and did not shop anywhere else.
After about 8 months they sent me a load of vouchers. For nappies, make-up and ladies sanitary items.
I sent the vouchers and the card back with a sharply worded letter asking where they thought I ought to stick the tampons and that they can stick their card in the same place.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
