Don't tell my Dad, but the reason he had to send his first ever colour telly back was because I had been learning about oscilloscopes in physics. I dismantled something for the magnets and wrecked the colour telly playing with moving the image around.

Unforseen Consequences

They havge just changed the rules about eating at your desk here. It used to be that you were not allowed to eat anything at your desk apart from snacks. Now they are allowing people to eat sandwiches and other cold food at their desk, hot food must still be consumed in the canteen.

As a result I have now eaten my sandwiches and will end up going to the canteen anyway in an hour or so as I will be hungry again.

Excellent advice, which I have duly heeded. Whilst browsing the sausage rolls on offer, one in particular was calling to me. There was something quite spellbinding about the way the light glistened off the grease on that particular one, and I knew I had to have it.

I only purchased one today though - one of the PM's here is supposedly bringing in some samosas, and I need to leave some room for those *and* my sandwiches.

I have turned down an invitation to attend ClientCo Curry Thursday in the canteen today though.
