Stuff is confusing

For the past week, Mac Mail hasn't been showing any new messages in my inbox. However, it's definitely downloading mail, and if I have a rule set up to move a message somewhere else (e.g. one of the folders for a mailing list) it shows up there, so it's actually getting the mail - just not showing it unless a rule is applied to it.

I set up a rule called "Desperate hack" to move stuff to a new folder that is only applied if no other rule is run, and suddenly all of last week's mail has appeared.

When I'm at ClientCo I use webmail, so it's not been a problem, but I don't want to be stuck with using that. The current hack will work for a while, but it's not exactly a long-term solution

Well, I shut down Mail and restarted it, and it seems to have sorted itself out

Blimey - that's quite a breakfast even by my standards!

My bro is doing great - still steadily improving and starting some physio now. The plan to go and fetch him is off for now as it looks like a hospital transfer is back on again - once a bed is available in his chosen hospital in London anway. There is some debate as to who will be funding the private ambulance required for the transfer, but regardless he should be back sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I managed to get to talk to him on the phone again last week, which was good. He still sounded very tired, but that's to be expected I think.

What's your plan for today?
