Yeah, I meant just stow your stuff quickly as soon as you can get access to the chalet, and don't bother unpacking - we did that last time and managed to get bikes sorted really easily without any queueing at all. BEL's plan sounds like it might be a winner as well.

We've been to Whinfell and Sherwood - Whinfell was nicer I think.

Whinfell used to be Oasis so it's a bit different / nicer, I think. We had a lovely time last weekend, but found it tiring trying to do too much - I mean, once you've dumped the kids with their grandparents and disappeared to the spa for three hours, it's a bit demanding....

That sounds like a good plan. We might go again later in the year (renewal permitting) so I'll give that a go.

Now is a really good time to go, if you can take time off and don't mind taking the kids out of school (nigh on impossible if they are in SATS years, though).
