So my mum sits down again, as the nurse continues to apologise. Then a thought struck the nurse: "I don't suppose Dr Fitz is your son?" She was obviously worried that she'd messed things up with a doctor's relative, and would be in loads of trouble.
"No," says my mum, "My son isn't a doctor."
<pause>
"He's a lawyer."
Cue even more frantic apologies from nurse
