It is SODDING cold out there
As I was walking home (a journey of about eight minutes) I could actually feel the cold spreading from the inside of my lungs out to the rest of my chest cavity
Even now, I can feel some cold within, gradually fading as the warmth of the flat applies itself externally and the warm air I'm now breathing replaces the cold air I previously breathed internally.
Totally utterly sodding cold. Freezing fog to boot
I'm glad I live on a Roman road - it's so straight that you'd have to be completely beyond help to do anything more than rear-end somebody at the pedestrian crossing. God alone knows what might happen if the drunken bastards that speed past here every night had to take even a moderate bend - and I mean on a summer's evening, never mind a frozen night like tonight
