      It's only a matter of time, I'm sure!

      The "feathered vermin" (I'm heading for a slap from Lady VF at this rate) are currently all huddled up in their Eglu. I haven't seen them yet as they get shut away when it's dark.

      They already have names...

        My Dutch ex's father's chickens were constantly escaping and invading the neighbours' vegetable patches (tiny village in Noord Holland where everybody grows their own veg). I think he was supposed to clip their wings to stop them flying over the fence, but he never got around to it

        They were bantams, so maybe it's easier for them to get off the ground, being small and light.

            The chap from Omlet that delivered the chickens showed Lady VF how to clip the wings - apparently you only need to clip one as that makes them unbalanced enough to not bother trying

            I bet the kids try to lure one on to the trampoline at some point...
