I just went to have a look at a recently-launched site, created by a company owned by somebody who's regarded as a bit of a "web personality".
On the very first page I looked at after the home page and a category page, some user-generated content contained a <script> tag (it was supposed to be example code)... which is being echoed straight back to any user, meaning the whole site is vulnerable to cross-site scripting attacks, general vandalism, identity theft of users, etc.
As there wasn't any code within the tag, it just causes a JS error (on Safari and Firefox) - but it's a massive security hole, and I'm not visiting any other part of the site until they've fixed it.
I'll be responsible and not name names until they've sorted it out - I emailed them straight away about it.
Given that the proud owner had spoken at some length about how, during this launch period, all feedback email was being sent to every member of the team, and they were required to also receive said emails on their phones and generally be on watch 24-7, there ought to be a few panic-stricken web devs postponing Christmas over in California right now
