Nope it wasn't even that bad - I had 5 southern comfort and lemonades and half a bottle of prosecco (sp?) All ove the course of a few hours and a very very nice dinner. We went to San Carlo, you know the one on the corner near Mullys? It was soooo good. You would love it!

My Facebook app idea crystallised tonight as I wandered up the road to the pub. I even have a name for it - a nice, short name that says exactly what it does

In creating any web application, there are three primary criteria for success:

1. It should do just one thing, and do it well;
2. It should allow the user to get rich, or get laid;
3. It should work in a familiar way.

For a Facebook application, there's one further criterion:

1. It should make it easier to have fun (whether online or in TRW) with your friends.

I think I have this model for this application. I asked a number of the (much younger than me) bar staff at my local who use Facebook what they thought of the idea, and they thought it was a win - after a three sentence description, they immediately came up with ways in which they and/or their friends would use it that I hadn't even thought of

So that's tomorrow sorted out - and I even think I might have worked out a way of making money from it, rather than it costing me money to provide it

Sounds like a winner.
