Drilled all the holes using the pcb drill.

Plastic picks up on tungsten carbide... and melts onto it.

However I now have two vaguely rectangular holes in my plastic box.

They're almost in the right places too...

I used to work with a chap who'd trained as an apprentice in some MOD place in Chepstow.

He did remarkably fine work.

I could never emulate that.

Took a long time to do stuff though.

I reckon his one inch cube of ally was dead precise.... mine would be 1.1" if I was lucky and 0.95" if I wasn't.

I remember a piece of kit he built, a tape position timer for a VR2000.

All the wires were purple...
