Turned it down to 3.3V & voila!

It does what it says on the tin.

Tempting, but I'd just end up getting stressed about what I was doing and where I was going. I want to at least have a rough plan in place and the names of some decent hotels.

Just popped out to the back yard, to make sure the gate was locked.

I notice that as well as the pile of seed trays, there is also a large collection of plant pots, and three large watering cans just outside the back door

There's also numerous small patches of compost spilt in the yard.

Not the most sophisticated dope growing endeavour ever seen then

I'm quite liking this idea of sleeping in beach huts.

So the first digit is arranged like this:

                    Segment B: bit 0 of LCDDATA0
                    Segment A: bit 1 of LCDDATA0
                    Segment F: bit 2 of LCDDATA0

                    Segment C: bit 0 of LCDDATA3
                    Segment G: bit 1 of LCDDATA3
                    Segment E: bit 2 of LCDDATA3

Segment DP: bit 0 of LCDDATA9
                    Segment D: bit 1 of LCDDATA9
Segment AN: bit 2 of LCDDATA9

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite that nasty...

Especially digit 3 which is shared between LCDDATA0 & LCDDATA1 etc...

At least assembler makes bit-twiddling easy - imagine doing it in Commodore BASIC
