Hello
Walking home past the brothel up the road (the one next-door to the second-hand bookshop - SP will know where I mean) I noticed that their external lights and the blinking neon sign in the window weren't on.
However, there was an A2 piece of orange DayGlo paper in the window, on which, crudely drawn with a black marker pen, were the words:
Open
As
Usual!

BTW, for all of you apparently struggling with character encoding issues: there's a thing called UTF-8.
Use it.
Make it the default for everything you use - I mean everything.
The first thing I do when setting up anything at all, from a development environment (usually Eclipse), to a production web server, to a database, is to go through its configuration and ensure that
ABSOLUTELY
EVERY SINGLE DAMN POSSIBLE
CHARACTER ENCODING OPTION
THAT MIGHT EVER POSSIBLY AFFECT MY LIFE IN THE FUTURE
(which is all of them)
IS SET TO
UTF-8
^^^
The Gold Standard.
Trust me, it's the key to retaining your sanity.
It's also good fun if the team is having a bug bash, and you post something containing the little aeroplane picture, or an I Ching hexagram, or some such silliness - it normally not only fscks up the web site, but also breaks the site admin application when they try to get to the offending data, forcing them to delve into a command-line driven database administration tool as the rest of the team sit around waiting for them to fix their Fail
(And yes, I've been on both ends - this is the voice of "experience", which is just a fancy word for encountering one's own stupidity )Comment
