Just noticed a very promising gig on Jobserve - I reckon I'd get it straight away if I applied.

I think I know where it is, too, and possibly even know (slightly) somebody involved with the gig (although it's a very big place if it's where I think it is).

Trouble is I'd have to update my CV to cover the last year if I was going to apply, and I really can't be bothered

I'll leave it till next week - if they're still looking (and they seem to have very strict requirements which just happen to match me exactly) then I might give it a go.

The bank account isn't crying out to be fed just yet, though...

If you get the gig - will we get some techy posts again?

I've had contracts like that; the one with AB Automotive was grim... my diary has the count of hours to the end of contract on each & every page... I got down to 2 days & the barstewards extended by a month (a.k.a. 5 weeks)...

I thought it would never end. And the rate was incredibly crap too.

Learned the other week that AB is shutting the plant down...

Done alot of drinking the last 6 weeks, I havent done much else to be honest All mates are now either married or with kids so no many to go out and play with and current gig they are all a bunch a boring barstewards never go out. I'm too impatient I just want to be over it, but I read somewhere they recon 2 months to get over it for every year together so that puts me at 18months

Ahhh man l*fes a real sh*tter at times.

Anyway enough doom and gloom for today
