My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

When the day comes when you first think "Maybe I should stop. Last time I drank this much I was really bad the next day" it is a sad thing.

I have passed that day. I have also discovered I now cannot get rat-faced on lager without having a 48 hour hangover.

Bazza: you live it up now while you can. You're not just a long time dead, you're a long time wishing you were younger too.

          I cannot bear the materialism.

I have never been to Bluewater and have no desire to go. If they let nobody else in and everything was free, I probably wouldn't bother.

I would far rather walk the back streets of Whitby in the rain, or traipse through a Dutch fleamarket or a German Christmas market.
Bluewater is amazingly materialistic. Full of shops selling very bhigh class jewellery/clothes. Or things like "Celebrity" signatures.

          Too much even for me.

Given all the efforts made in the 70s and 80s and 90s to claim "we're all the same really", those hormones are a far stronger influence.

Alternatively, perhaps having a strong father figure in their lives has an influence too. (That is NOT a criticism, merely an observation: does having both parents present make children more aware that we are different as adults, therefore they can be what they want to be. Discuss. 25 marks.)
lol. I am sooo slow! Call me Wilmslow and slaop me around!

I was very worried about the new baby. When I was born I had an elder brother and sister - 6 & 7. He wanted a brother, She a sister. One was going to be disappointed. Even now me and my sister dont get on!

I made sure both twins would be happy with WHATEVER they got. And it has all worked out very well.

I try v v hard t let the kids be what they want to be - I dont think I could change them anyway.

Well, with you as their dad they're going to know what they want and be damned sure they get it!
