I think I've worked out how to unstick my painted-shut sash windows without having to climb up the front of the house

The landlord's trained bozos painted the woodwork on the front of the house last autumn, and I haven't been able to open the windows since

It wasn't too bad during winter and when I was in London most of the time, but it's starting to get stuffy in here on warm days

However, a little Googling seems to have led me to a solution that can be done single-handedly from within the flat

Fresh air (and occasional uninvited incursions by the doves that live in the eaves) here we come!
