Maybe he knows he is not management material. Now if only some of the muppets here knew that...

      Manager

Shearer's currently in Barbados sunning himself, still 6 months to go until finishing coaching badges and Beeb contract runs out after the Euro Championships. Personally think he'd be daft to take it....impossible job and the quickest way to loose his legend status at St James!

My worst nightmare is 'arry getting the toon job, but who else is daft enough to take it!! Should have been given till the end of next season.

Shearer has no management experience?!?! A bit like King Kev when he took over the Toon then?

Was it a 12 point lead that they blew under Keegan, or was it more than that?

Still, 2nd place two seasons running (and only his second and third in the Premiership) isn't bad going - I for one, wouldn't swap those days for the world, great times!

Looks grim for the Toon; all the possibles are turning them down. Why not go for someone who's learnt his craft in the lower divisions, and keep faith with him for a couple of seasons. No, it'll have to be a Big Name to satisfy the demands of a Big Club. The danger is they may end up doing a Leeds (overspending, to try and keep up with the Premier big guns)

Steve Bruce I say. He's a Geordie, loves the club and you can guarantee he'll take them down the following season

See you, you ****. I'll cut you first...
