I'm not superior to anyone just cause I been here longer than them.
And I got no problem with TPD per se, just pointing out there seems to be an influx of super posters who contribute SFA as far as I can tell beyond spouting drivel on TPD, with the sole purpose of upping their post counts. Which to me indicates the need to feel superior.
Personally I could care less, I know which people are worth having chat/argument/debate with and who's not. But some people it appears feel like they have to have several thousand posts to their names to make a contribution in the big boys forum. They probably have small penises but that's just a guess on my part.Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith

I contribute elsewhere on the board when I have something useful to offer, or occasionally in General when I feel like joining in the ridiculous posturing that goes on here. The majority of my posts are in TPD not because I'm desperate to have a high post count, but because it's a nice place to chat with a pleasant group of people, as opposed to the bunch of rabble-rousing egotists usually found in General (and no, I'm not talking about you snaw, as I know you're not one of the time-wasting dorks who make so much irrelevant noise in here).

WTF are these people coming from? Can we find a cure, or maybe just perform some sort of amputation and cast them forth in the world wide web without a paddle?
Appreciate this may be a controversial move, but it's for the greater good. Honest.
b) Animated avatars had just been re-enabled.
Things will settle down within a week or so, I am sure.
Is it your desire:
a) the accounts are terminated;
b) animated avatars are disabled again;
c) avatars are removed.
Did you know you can do (c) for yourself, by the way?
Meanwhile ... Bah! Humbug!Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

Virtually everyone who drivels on TPD posts straightforwardly elsewhere. It is a place to go and let off steam, play word games, socialise and recreate.

Think TPD and you'll see why.
Either I haven't been concentrating or they are only frequenting Light Relief.
Have noticed some newbies in the Business section though but with 'normal' post counts.
Wouldn't surprise me if these newbs you mention are Atw alt ID's to besmirch TPD. I believe the fact he never started that thread bugs him.Comment
