    Trivia, Trauma, Joy…..

When I was learning to be a counsellor for a helpline we had an ice-breaker at the start of training session, we had to say something trivial, joyful, traumatic, and joyful.

    Trivia
Permies pay 30p for a tea, contractors get fleeced 60p.

    Trauma
Back is bad at present, not good for my 60 mile commute

    Joy
Have two good nights out this weekend with friends.

    What’s yours?

    Sound of silence

Someone exhaled and it went quiet. A church bell chimes monotonously in the distance and tumbleweed drifts slowly by in a gentle ominous wind…. Whooshhh....Whoooshhhhhh. What was that? Is that a tap I can hear dripping? Strange is was so busy here earlier…

Oh Bravo ! Well done Sir !
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

There are only 2 companies in the world licensed to extract the cocaine from coca leaves so they can go in Coca-Cola.

Somebody did a huge poo on my front doorstep on Monday morning and I couldn't open the door without spreading it all over the place.

        Baby Jesus loves us all.

Our Guild is the 6th Top Ranked Horde Guild on our Server. The other 5 above us are hardcore, whereas we are a casual raid guild (we are organised, but don't used DKP or kick people if they make a single mistake). And the Friday Beer Raid (complete with Teamspeak (Thanks Ardesco) is legendary)

Oggrimmar was raided by the Alliance 2 weeks ago and the whole Server ground to a halt, due to the hundreds of players in a single location. She cannae handle it Jim !

I got an Epic drop last week called Legacy . The event in which it drops only occurs 1 in 20 times. The chance for it to drop from that event is 8.4%. I have no idea what that works out to in odds. I just know that I'm happy.

Someone nicked my manky old trainers from the Gym on Monday. Why would anyone want to nick nick some cheap old thread-bare trainers (with holes in the sides, like my wide feet like 'em)?

There used to be many indigineous cultures which actually had no concept of time. Many of these were based in North America (Sioux, Navajo for example) and Australia (Aboriginies). They had very little idea of past or future, and tended to "live" solely in the present.

When my name is written in Cyrillic it requires two more characters than the latin alphabet.

Some **** drove into my car and didn't leave a note or even stop. £350 + Vat to repair, and I'm going to have some ugly filler on the wheel arch.

I'm getting married in 8 months.
