I like the look of American Gangster, any one seen it yet? Recommend it?

I like Denzel Washington. I think he is such a good actor, loved him in Man on Fire....

Saw it at the weekend. twas ok I suppose if a tad long (+2.5 hours)

Won't be buying on DVD though.

Denzel is his usual class self. Crowe not so good IMHO.

I am not a fan of Crowe...not seen him in anything worth watching TBH, whereas Denzel is good in everything I have seen him in...

Agree with Pondlife and most of the newspaper reviews.

Above average movie.

Denzel is class, as ever.

Crowe was good, but I think his was more of a supporting role even though they beefed it up considerably to get him on board.

Or maybe he was out classed by Denzel.

Could also have done with being about 20mins shorter.

Overall, worth spending the money to watch at the cinema.
