I fly both the FW190 and P51D electric planes. Brilliant. The site also has some video clips of models being flown.

Although Parkzone is a US company, plenty of UK RC Retailers stock these models.

There was a bloke in Haddenham, Bucks. who, last summer, regularly spent about an hour fiddling with his RC helicopter. It was quite an impressive bit of kit. I used to see him when I went running on a field there. He only ever actually flew it for about 2 minutes... at a height of about 10 feet. Then, lots more fiddling around; then dismantled it; put it in the box; into the back of his car; and off home. Why?

They fly well, and are a lot of fun if you have say a decent office space ;-)

Be aware, there are lots more small foam planes around, and some simply will not fly properly, regardless of how much space you have, or experience with model aircraft.

A second choice is the PICCO Z 2CH HELI, METRO FLY from someone like www.inwoodmodels.co.uk (use the search to find it)
It hovers around in a smallish office, and is a lot of fun.
(There are cheap immitations of this heli around, eg eBay, which are cr@p)

As for the guy with his heli in the field, the hardest thing to do is learn to hover, and its required for a heli twice each flight (take off and landing), so is practiced at length.
Having said that, many people I know take their models to the flying field, get them out, get them ready, decide "its the wrong kind of wind", natter for a while, and put the lot away again. Some have evolved, they don't even bring the models, just come and chat!

An interesting observation, any of these small "flying toys" are actually governed by CAA rules!
