It needs a reboot - all I remember is something about a crow near the start, and little imp-type things that kept stabbing us.

I bought my brother a signed copy of the 25th anniversary of "The Warlock of Firetop Mountain" for Christmas.

I think it was his best present in years.

        "The Warlock of Firetop Mountain"
Drool ! I have mine somewhere...not signed, and a bit dogeared from play, but still a classic. My favourites were Deathrap Dungeon or City of Thieves.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Indeed - this edition also has their definitive solution to it in the back, plus a load of explanation about how they wrote it etc.

The reason they all have 400 entries is that the first one had 399 so they rounded it up - there is an entry that links to nothing else in there, but 400 is a much nicer number than 399.
