Going to be interesting to see what happens.
It’s the only piece of the mini budget where it’s possible to demonstrate that it would create economic growthmerely at clientco for the entertainment -

I don't think the IR35 reforms bring in enough cash to offset some of the tax cutting proposals so it would be daft to u-turn on this 'niche' (to quote Fiona Bruce) tax when stamp duty reforms could be reversed instead (which would be a very entertaining piece of political suicide).Comment

That isn't exactly confirmation, more like speculation, but I agree that it's more likely than not to be ditched given what Hunt has said. Even if the reversal went ahead, it would reappear with the next (most likely Labour) gov't, probably as early as April 2025, when dividend taxes and CGT will probably increase substantially too.Originally posted by splitbrain View PostComment
