The LC was entirely cooked up within HMRC, to get them out of a hole of their own making, so they should carry the can for it.

If they'd not been asleep at the wheel for 20 years, loans would never have got so out of hand.

I still reckon that HMRC think they run parliament - I don't think that has sunk into government yet. I just hope the review is done and the LC scrapped before a GE.
Neither do I, the point is someone or some persons will have to be the fall-person/s. There are some choice candidates...

There are a couple of scapegoats that I can think of that have lost the whip...they can start there.

Thanks chimpmaster... sounds promising but not holding my breath. Hopefully they can announce formally before the 1/10 disclosure deadline.

In PMQs, Boris mentioned a review and something about "what can be done to redress the situation". This was in response to Ross Thomson's question. No more details as yet but if there is a serious review then it must mean a suspension of CLSO2 and the LC, else it would not work in practice.

And why would McDonnell's view be of any importance? The guy is a complete moron and his ultra-left-wing Marxist ideas are only just about worthy of reporting in the Daily Star.

Been watching PMQ, I must have missed it? So is there a review?
