    Barrister bankruptcy

    https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2735119

This gentleman is often mentioned in these forums and has some notable victories (and losses) to his name, including Dextra (victory).

He has also had to deal with a number of issues in relation to his professional life recently.

It appears that he has now tipped into bankruptcy at his own application.

Looking at his DoB he probably wants to draw a line under his past life and retire gracefully somewhere nice and sunny. I mean, this guy will have millions stashed away in Panama, Belize or some place?

                It took a long search.

                  Bankcrupt order details

I'm a novice, but this gentleman was made bankcrupt in march this year, he was a codirector partner in a company.

What I would like to know is what assets he had that the Hmrc would have liquidated.

So he's gone bankcrupt, what happens to
His assets, or assets belonging to his company's?

                  Be nice to know
So if he had loans from banks, are they forgotten, or where are they registered please

                  Col

...kind of ironic that Thornhill is made bankrupt. Then again, I think a lot of readers of this forum will be following him down the same path.

Margaret Hodge (google Hodge the dodge) described him as a 'prostitute to the tax avoidance industry'. Then again, Margaret Hodge was always one to minimise her tax payments. Her use of Trusts 'were legal' something Mr Thornhill would surely have agreed on as regards the Trusts in EBTs.
