The important factor apparently, was that it was a discretionary loan to the beneficiary. Which is also documented. I think the main difference in the Rangers case were the players had guaranteed loans? Not sure if this would stand up though if regular / same amounts were made?Comment

Thank you for your further email. I think I will write to the companies to try and shed some light on the names. There is nothing on the web, either. Very odd.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Have any users of mw solutions started engagements with HMRC for settlement? Unsure about number of users but is there anyone who would have any good reason to fight this (other than the promotors!)Comment

Do you mean, will someone (like big group) help with settlement for the users? If so, yes, Big Group will.
Or do you mean, will anybody help to fight HMRC? If so, then why would anybody bar the promoters do this?
Apologies if I have misunderstood?Comment

Probably wasn’t worded well, it would be easy enough for me to calculate what settlement would be. I guess what I’m asking, do any other users have reason to believe the scheme should not be caught by loan charge? Is there really any benefit for joining BG on this particular scheme as I should be clear on the loans received. I’m assuming any of BG clients who used this scheme will need to settle. I really just don’t want to spend any more money which I may not be able to affordComment
