Don't bother it's just full of posers now and lost it's core audience, plus the bands are even more dire than they used to be in it's primeOriginally posted by Halo Jones View PostOh indeed, I have not actually been to WGW as it is more the Trad Goth & I prefer the EBM of WGT
Stick to going to Leipzig at least people have fun thereSocialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

The Festivals used to be about getting away from all the trendies and arseholes. Now it's where you go to find them.Comment

Always preferred the indoor events.
Used to go to a wicked one called Futurama up in Nottingham back in the '80s. A lot of generally avant garde, post punk indie stuff - before indie stuff was just identikit jangly guitar bands. And, more importantly, before the British rock scene got ruined by Britpop.
Here's a bit of Clock DVA for ya...

Done T In The Park, Reading Leeds, etc in younger days but always fancied Glasto (never been) but the wife isn't a fan of roughing it in a tent so but no chance with 5K for a "Yurt"!

That makes one mindful of that great scene at the end of the Woodstock movie where they are interviewing the old guy cleaning out the loos - "Gotta son out in 'nam , he's up in the Dee-Em-Zee" at which point some total freak emerges from one of the stalls, spliff in hand and stares right into the camera. There is a brief pause before he utters the words "far out!" and staggers off.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View Post
