That makes one mindful of that great scene at the end of the Woodstock movie where they are interviewing the old guy cleaning out the loos - "Gotta son out in 'nam , he's up in the Dee-Em-Zee" at which point some total freak emerges from one of the stalls, spliff in hand and stares right into the camera. There is a brief pause before he utters the words "far out!" and staggers off.
Done T In The Park, Reading Leeds, etc in younger days but always fancied Glasto (never been) but the wife isn't a fan of roughing it in a tent so but no chance with 5K for a "Yurt"!
Used to go to a wicked one called Futurama up in Nottingham back in the '80s. A lot of generally avant garde, post punk indie stuff - before indie stuff was just identikit jangly guitar bands. And, more importantly, before the British rock scene got ruined by Britpop.
Glamping is for right on lefties from Hampstead who think they're getting down with the youth, as they visit to see some popular beat combo from their childhood
I have not done a UK festival yet, but this year I have tickets for Alt Fest next month & I do Wave Gothic Treffen in Germany every year, but Glastonbury has never appealed.
Yup Leipzig is goth central over there these days, it makes WGW look rather stale
