    +1.

    The cycle is:

I decide I want a new contract and I find one.

+2 I decide I need a contract, pick one, interview and start.

I have started on December 10th and in a different year applied December 22, interviewed 24th and started jan 3rd.

There are always places that need someone now.

According to Jobserve there is 20,909 vacancies at the moment in UK IT, this time in 1914 there was none so I think we are in a boom time now #FillYourBoots

I'm fussy over who I work for and what they want doing. I interview the client to ensure the contract will provide me with suitable learning opportunities or entertainment.

If I'm not going to get anything out of it except cash I'll look elsewhere

I work for myself and I certainly don't want learning opportunities.

I want to know that I don't end up in a dead end. I'm a dev ( because I look to physically produce something ) and technology continually changes so unless I keep my skill set up to date It could become irrelevant.

By doing that I've never had a problem finding work in 20 years and it's always worked.
