AN entire Romanian village has set up shop in an area close to me, thousands of them upped and moved over. They have some crime lord heading them up and it is basically one big group of thieves, pimps, drug dealers and beggars. The area is locally known as ground zero, nobody uses bins as they just throw the rubbish out of the window, gangs hang around all times, rapes are now happing every week so it has become a no go area. As if all that is not bad enough they are pimping their own children out for sex.

All of this was predicted and totally preventable, now the only way they will be returned is a reversal of EU policy and the only party that has that as a hard promise is UKIP. I cannot blame anyone who lives close to the area for voting UKIP and the more the party is victimised the more it gains support. UKIP are not around getting this level of support because we are a nation of racists, UKIP are around because of new labour's mismanagement of our relationship with the EU and the current governments unwillingness to sort this problem out during this term.

This is particularly true in London & the south east.

As for letting more in because we have feckless, undereducated kids that won't work, well who's collective fault is that and shouldn't we do something about it first?
Yes we should. In that respect charging people to go to university was a backward step IMO. So is the policy of forcing mothers back to work within months of giving birth.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Govanhill in Glasgow. Local Labour MP, Tom Harris to be fair is actually fairly good and has been a constant critic of EU immigration.

If they win the referendum they have said they will try to increase immigration.

Charging them is the only way we can fund half of them going to University, I would prefer not devaluing qualifications.

That is sort self selecting only the high earners can afford the child care. Its sad we will drive the bright industrious mothers back to work and exclude the ones that professional childcare could help by exposing the kids to a different values.

I'd agree with that only in respect of the courses that provide the skills that the country needs and which actually benefit the students by allowing them to get higher wages (actually the same thing given the way markets work). Charges should remain or even be increased for some courses that do neither.

Some like to say that old farts like me had it easy with low course fees and generous grants but facts that they do not appear to be aware of is how much the student contingent has expanded and how little benefit some students get from the time they spend. The idea that higher education is a right for all is a daft socialist idea we need to abandon.

How much were your low course fees? Could we perhaps abandon the daft socialist idea of secondary education as a right for all?
