Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Legislation is being pushed through that will criminalise use of the word Allah by others, although it has also been their word for god for centuries. Another recent ruling prevents non Muslims from being represented by anyone other than a Muslim lawyer in the Shariah courts. That's equality?

As for democracy, where does it exist in the Islamic world? Try looking at the details of the few that have elections, the chances of non Muslims getting above the lowest levels in government or the military in places like Pakistan, Bangladesh or the Maldives is zero. Or even Muslims of the "wrong" sort, the Maldives only allows Sunni Muslims to be citizens.

Throughout the Muslim world Islamic governments are becoming more extreme and more intolerant and there is a rising tide of violence against Christians and others. It was the archbishop of Canterbury, not Nick Griffin, who stated that Christians in the Middle East are being "attacked and massacred".

People really should try and check the facts from reliable sources rather than rely on illogical extrapolations about people they know.
I agree. send 'em all home. Though not forgetting that being muslim in some parts of the world is pretty tulip too. India, Burma, Mauritius, Israel.

I didn't used to want to send em all home. But changed my mind cycling home tonight. Some woman wearing a burka nearly ran me over - I reckon she missed me due to not having full vision.

It is a peace loving, moderate, compassionate religion that teaches respect for all.

Clearly there must be something else that creates the millions of deranged fruitloops that follow its teachings.

No, not ignoring it; there is indeed a problem of goring extremism. At the other end of the spectrum there's a growing movement toward a more modern interpretation of Islam. I certainly don't object to discussing the problem of Islamic extremism, but I don't like oversimplifications.
