I think there is a big difference between reporting on an upcoming event, public pronouncements made by the protagonists in that event and general background stories about those protagonists. There have been stories about Alec Salmond doing this that and the other since before the referendum was ever announced.Originally posted by Unix View PostI suppose all the stories around Scottish Independence have always been been there also, we just notice them more this year, we will notice them more and more as September approaches...BUT there is no correlation between them and the referendum.

Not really. Rainbows are an observable phenomenon backed by thousands of years of hard evidence. A conspiracy theory with that sort of evidence behind it wouldn't be a conspiracy theory anymore.Originally posted by SpontaneousOrder View PostWhat does that even mean? Bugger. Actually while checking that one out I came across a nice graphic showing the outcome of the last election. Its quite interesting that eurosceptics bang on about the EU being a left wing conspiracy, a Marxist organisation, blah blah, etc. when the majority of seats are held by the right who are in actual fact the side of the political spectrum who are more liable to want this type of organisation, subdue your democratic rights, blah blah, etc.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostThat was just a couple of weeks before an EU election! Yes, and it's also interesting that some on the left call the EU a 'neo-liberal conspiracy'.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostBugger.
