He actually made a single flight to the US and Canada to promote a book and lobby for carbon cuts, his argument being that it was justifiable as it sought to boost the case for much greater carbon cuts there.

He's written over a dozen books, hundreds of columns and gained honorary Doctorates and a Fellowship. If a single example of hypocrisy was the worst that could be said about him, I doubt he'd be worried overly.

Anti-greens, Anti-scientists and inactivists hate him because his work is always comprehensively referenced, detailed, he corrects his mistakes when he gets it wrong and he's usually right.
My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.

Hundreds more ‘will die as London and the south-east hit by global warming’

Hundreds more ‘will die as London and the south-east hit by global warming’

The study, in the journal Nature Climate Change, found that across England and Wales a summer that is 2C (3.6F) warmer than average would be expected to cause about 1,550 extra deaths.
London and south-east England will see more deaths because of global warming, Imperial College London study predicts | Metro News

Apart from there is no evidence that temperatures will increase by 2c; they did not take in to account that any increase in temperature would reduce deaths from hypothermia,

Do many die of hypothermia in mid-summer?

Having a higher summer temperature does not automatically mean having a higher winter temperature. Look at somewhere such as Toronto - summer temps of about 30 degrees fairly normal, heavy snow in winter also fairly normal.

Are you saying that there is no evidence, or that the evidence is disputed, or that the balance of evidence suggests that the temperature will mot increase by 2C?

And it's a close run thing as a new contender Paddy appears from nowhere, but EO edges ahead. It's very close, though ...

If you pursuaded a single Aussie to reduce his CO2 output by 180Kg / year and said Aussie lived another 20 years then yes.

                      See how this works?
