Current contract was through a woman. Actually three of them.
Massive agency though, so they have different people filtering CVs, arranging interviews, and doing the paperwork after interview.
First one wouldn't move on rate. She was foreign and had an emotionless monotone voice so you couldn't tell if she was disappointed or playing hardball. Rate was still a jump on the last one so I took it. The next two in the process were both hopeless but I would put that down to the division of labour and lack of motivation at the agency as they probably get no commission for their effort.

The only time a woman put me through for a contract before was when I found the contract directly but needed an agency on the PSL. So that one doesn't count.

I don't intend this discussion to turn sexist and perhaps it should have gone in General.

Personally I'm pretty bad at chatting up women. Fortunately I get approached pretty often by attractive women. So much so, that other blokes don't know how I do it. But if I ever have to approach a women to chat her up, I know I've already failed because nothing's going to happen. They either like me and approach me or they don't.

However, if I get a face-to-face interview, and I'm interviewed by a woman, I always get the job. Perhaps this relates to another thread I started about telephone interviews. I must come across like a social reject in this post but up until late last year, I'd won every job I'd been interviewed for eight years and gone in on high rates.

Anyone else overcome this? I'm expecting some abuse!
Sorry, honey, but they ain't women. You can always tell by looking at the hands.

So, were you born that stupid, Gym Freak, or is it something you have to work at? Same goes Cenoblight.
