Don't be fooled into thinking you're seeing what ATC would have seen. Outside of the US that site relies on ADS-B which is a plane based tracking system that determines positon from GPS and doesn't use ground based radar.

GPS spoofing could potentially trick the ADS-B into reporting supersonic velocity if it thought there was a sudden change in it's position. Given that some believe the Russians have ECM capable of spoofing GPS and have sold it to the Iranians (remember the captured drone incident), do we need to worry that they've sold it to someone else as well?

Depends who's tracking. Airports do their own tracking usually with a ~5 mile cube of the field depend on country. Beyond that, in international airspace, who exactly is capturing that information? Even then the range of the broadcast is limited.
