And load the mortgage on the house when you can, so that on divorce there is more debt than assets

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Having debt is generally a good plan. First sign of trouble the government inflates it away. The sensible lose - the feckless win.

Once the majority of citizens realize this it could get fun!

Be careful with that one - lawyers are smart to that and will fight against you. Same as not working deliberately to reduce the asset split. The bitch that represented my bitch of a bitch tried to get me to show the court records of telephone calls and online submissions to show I was looking for work while she never paid for any bills, just as I was having the equivalent of a nervous breakdown.

Lawyers will tell you they're just doing their job and representing what's best for their client. The word fairness pops up a great deal, but only in the manner and definition of that spoken by politicians. They are sociopaths making money in a legal framework that only extends the misery.

Maybe people should take marriage more seriously in the first place.

The government need to create a document that is impartial and defines clearly & truly fairly how the money is split. Get it agreed by both representative male & female groups then implement it in the courts.

The idea of the lower earning partner suddenly being cared for the rest of their life needs to go, maidenhood is no longer worth that much if it is available at the time of marriage. The kids are where the money should go.

The money lawyers make out of divorce is sinful. If one person wants to fight for more cash than in the decision document then the person has to pay for it out of their share (bye bye legal aid for divorce).

Luckily apart from sleeping on the sofa occasionally (normally because of the baby) Mrs V hasn't decided she wants shot of me yet.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

So the vows you all made ..

              For richer or for poorer
              In sickness and in health
              For better or for worse
              'till death do us part

              Should now read:

Prospective Husband and Prospective Wife contemplate marriage in the near future and wish to establish their respective rights and responsibilities regarding each other's income and property and the income and property that may be acquired, either separately or together, during the marriage.
Prospective Husband and Prospective Wife have made a full and complete disclosure to each other of all of their financial assets and liabilities, as more fully set forth in the accompanying Financial Statements, attached hereto as Exhibits A and B.
Except as otherwise provided below, Prospective Husband and Prospective Wife waive the following rights:

To share in each other's estates upon their death.
To spousal maintenance, both temporary and permanent.
To share in the increase in value during the marriage of the separate property of the parties.
To share in the pension, profit sharing, or other retirement accounts of the other.
To the division of the separate property of the parties, whether currently held or hereafter acquired.
To any claims based on the period of cohabitation of the parties.

              [SET FORTH RELEVANT EXCEPTIONS HERE.]

This agreement is made in accordance with the laws of the state of _________________, and any dispute regarding its enforcement will be resolved by reference to the laws of that state.
This agreement will take effect immediately upon the solemnization of the parties' marriage.
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
