Scotland to be given all the powers they would get as part of a currency union anyway

The best way of shifting Britain towards greater economic rationality would be to retain the union and pound but to restructure the country into a federation. Each nation – Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland – would be given its own parliament, extreme devolution and the power and responsibility to raise and spend all (or almost all) the money themselves. The pan-UK federal government would retain control of foreign policy, defence and monetary policy. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. We might be Bolshie at times, but we are not stupid.
Still whatever happens I reckon Scotland will receive more powers to govern it's own affairs."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
