I would like to feast on at least one MP. I don't mind from which party. But it will be a great BBQ.

Fortunately I used to teach skill at arms, fieldcraft and survival skills so I'd hope I'd fair OK.
Plus I always have my trusty crossbow in case of emergency, it's better for not attracting attention to yourself like on the Walking Dead

Well that's Suity flipped then!Originally posted by craig1 View PostThe most important aspect though is attitude. If you approach the end of civilisation with an attitude of "Yay! I never have to work for those tulipers again!" then you're far more likely to survive than if you have an attitude of "We're doooooomed!"

But there's a huge potential extra factor that doesn't take account of - fallout.Originally posted by craig1 View PostDuring my army career, we did an escape and evasion course as part of a leadership course, much like the one RAF pilots have to take. ...
In most of the UK after a nuclear exchange, to avoid an inevitable and horrible death you and dependents and pets couldn't spend any time outdoors and you certainly couldn't ingest any food or water collected outdoors, or animals that had, for at least two or three weeks.
Maybe the fallout would be lower in some western parts, with a south westerly wind from the Atlantic. But even there you'd have fallout from the US, not to mention one or two possible nukes over the naval base in Plymouth, the GCHQ site in Cornwall, and a few other sites dotted around. (There's probably a map online somewhere, showing all possible or probable targets.)Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment
