This came upon me while writing another thread.
I have a collection of books that I go back to time and time again (a habit that Hubby just doesn't 'grok' [clue]).
I have collections that I go back to but didn't include them as I have trouble picking out a favourite.
The Flashman books (George McDonald Fraser)
Earth's Children books (Jean M. Auel)
Discworld (obv...)
The Rowan books (Anne McCaffrey)
But my three favourite books of all time that I'd take to my desert island are....
In no order...
Good Omens (Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman)
Blood Red, Sister Rose (Thomas Keneally)
Stranger in a Strange Land (Robert A. Heinlein)
