Make up your mind AtW. Raising prices is bad, lowering prices is bad... what are you after, some sort of state-imposed pricing structure for how much software and bread must be sold for?

I am planning to write a book on pricing, so won't be spilling all beans just now.

Look for it at the best bookshops around you ...

Don't forget that Bill Gates is stepping down from his role as Chairman, and becoming "Technology Adviser"

edit: isn't this a bit like saying to his new CEO "I don't trust you" ?

Basically Bill will run the company whilst new "CEO" will do as he says or he gets the chair (Ballmer style). Give 'em hell Bill!

First order of the day - port .NET to Linux (minus tulipy Metro and any gUI).

Yep, I think that crap needs to go for all of Windows.

C'mon Bill I want to see some 1990's window styles and icons again

                    Like Mono ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

GC there is not very good for long running tasks - serious stability issues in 64 bit mode.
