The deficit under Major was during a downturn, the deficit during labours time was during about the best economic spell since the war.Originally posted by DirtyDog View PostPrior to bailing out the banks, how did the Labour expenditure compare to the Conservative government under John Major?
I am sure Major's government left office with the lowest public sector spend since the war, labour changed that and when they did hit a down turn after running deficit in good times we seen the debt rocket. The debt is their problem and their fault.Comment

Isnt the Labour party itself bankrupt ? They cannot even manage their own party finances.Originally posted by vetran View Postas far as political parties go past performance seems to be a good indicator for the future.

The strategy of Labour is quite clear, create a core vote bank consisting of dimwits like DirtyDog and then borrow billions and spend on that vote bank. Those dim wits will keep voting them back to power and the cycle goes on.Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !Comment
