Bit off topic but being bald ain't necessarily bad. Neighbour with thinning hair now gets his shaved and he looks younger.bloggoth

I don't have the looks I had when I was 21. People said back then I looked like a young James Hunt. I don't now. In fact my looks back then were probably more to do with having lots of blonde hair, most of which has gone, and an athletic body, which I work hard to keep, seeing as I definitely think Lady Tester is one hell of a catch for me. My motto is 'she fell for a young, blonde haired athlete. I can't do anything about the young and blonde, but I won't ask her to put up with fat bloke'.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostHe's a prat, but his wife seems to be well aware (and indulgent)of his personal delusion.
My missus is definitely better looking than me. I look 5-10 years old then I am, she looks 15-20 years younger than she is. She's one year old than me.Last edited by Mich the Tester; 23 January 2014, 10:36.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

I wouldn't even give him a first, never mind, second look.Originally posted by Bellona View PostAverage looks - wouldn't be falling over myself ( or others) to get to him, but wouldn't rule him out - until he opened his mouth with his arrogant "Gods Gift" attitude - then I would be out
Still, irrelevant as I wouldn't be good enough for him to talk to me in the first place

I wouldn't say so. I do think however that people can be attractive in different ways at different ages and it's best not to try to look 20 when you're 40. Of course there's an attraction in youthful good looks and a toned body, but there can also be a lot of attraction (more actually) in a face that's gained in character over the years. Laydees who buy anti-wrinkle products please take note; a few wrinkles don't make you ugly. A sour face and a world weary look do.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostSo old = unattractive, young = attractive?Last edited by Mich the Tester; 23 January 2014, 10:38.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? My wife has got 8 years on me - people who know me presume we are around the same age at late 20's. Those who don't know presume I'm 30-something and still put her in late 20's.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostHe's a prat, but his wife seems to be well aware (and indulgent)of his personal delusion.

Bald and thinning hair doesn't help, but I've accepted that Grade 1 is the only way for me. It just sucks having to keep on top of it, because it doesn't take many weeks for me to look like a middle age accountant.Comment
