Not round here. Our local market is full of stalls run by trendy downshifter types who think it's Borough Market. The prices are inflated accordingly. -

£53/week has to cover everything else as well as food, other than your rent. Saying one person can live off £53 at the supermarket each week is easy. You could have steak and wine every night for that budgetOriginally posted by SpontaneousOrder View Post£53 a week is easy. £7 a week is a bit tougher
Althougg if you get your food fresh from the market it's alot cheaper (80p for a pepper at Tesco!).
£1/day - not TOO hard if you don't have allergies and don't mind eating the same thing several meals/days in a row. If you ruin something, you're stuffed though, you have to eat it anyway. Like the story of some friends who were living on a shoestring and used some crazy chillis, thinking they were regular peppers, in a big dish. That was their food for several days, so they had to eat it.
Things are a trifle cheaper there dear.Originally posted by KentPhilip View PostPeople in Africa seem to manage it..Last edited by d000hg; 21 January 2014, 15:52.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
