Well this thread went from smoking on page 4 to fat on page 9 - cba with the details but my twopenneth worth
Smoking in pubs
As a smoker I was quite happy they introduced as it was only afterwards that I realsied how fookin vile it was, I am now a pretty much non smoker anyway.
However as other noticed now instead of smelling of smoke, pubs smell of BO and rank farts - so thats lovely then
Also why are many open places 'non smoking' our station was until recently - well the signs have gone anyway.
However in terms of effect on the pubs especially round our way is that most of the youngster do not drink - back when i was erm 18, 19 etc the pub would be chocca every Friday/Saturday night with people that age.
Now I can walk around the town and no pubs are full of the youth - so i think there is a big trend away from social drinking etc in the young - probably because of stoopid prices in pubs.
As for people so fat they bend light as others have said with the very rare genetic condition person the rest have got that way by doing fook all exercise and eating shiite quick and easy food.....
If you took away there fooking fat scooter mobile and made them walk to get their dole they may lose a bit of weight....Comment

Quite right! After all, everyone knows that a Mars bar is about 50 calories, but that a nip to the shops to buy one burns off 100 caloriesOriginally posted by MyUserName View PostA lot of people seem to have quite a lot of self delusion over how much they eat and how much they exercise

Of course they drink - they just do it differently. The thing is that they drink at sombodies house. They can go to the supermarket and get a large quantity of cheap booze and then get pissed before they head out - my daughter and her mates don't actually go out until about 11/12 at night. They skip the locals and go straight to the places that are open until 4/6 am. The point I was trying to make earlier was that it was this packed on Friday/Saturday that meant that the local pub could make a profit. This chunk of their trade has now gone and we are seing what we have now.Originally posted by original PM View PostHowever in terms of effect on the pubs especially round our way is that most of the youngster do not drink - back when i was erm 18, 19 etc the pub would be chocca every Friday/Saturday night with people that age.
