I quite like those first ones. I never bother with a tree as I have cats who seem to make it their mission in life to push it over as much as possible. It has one hour looking good followed by a few weeks looking progressively more battered!

Our cat leaves the tree alone but knocks all the baubles on the floor and then scatters them around the house. We find them under things the rest of the year!
I tried it one year and they just destroyed it, plus I'm concerned they'll eat the tinsel. They have aged a bit though so maybe I should try again - these days they rarely do more than wander from the food bowl to the bed and back again, maybe batting the odd fly in between. They come alive for lasers and chicken!
