I am avoiding the BBC like the plague for the next few days, and please god tell me they have some 'must be buried in 24 hours' thing going on.

Can't be arsed with a succession of "how I played my part in the downfall of apartheid at Lambeth council" stories from anyone that fights there way into the news room through the crowds wanting to "pay their respects" on TV.

If you look at most news websites you'll find there's a lot of attention being paid to this and in that respect the BBC is no different. Not sure how the TV programming's going to be the next few days, but we'll see.

What annoyed me watching Breakfast this morning was they gave over about 10 minutes to bloody Ed Milliband. Why? As a white British public schoolboy he hardly has any kind of personal or unique perspective on arpartheid; he should really just keep his mouth shut and go back to trying to ruin the country.

He was 100x time more important than Lady Di, and look what happened when she died. It's appropriate.

If you think this is bad, wait till the Queen dies, I will gladly go on holiday to avoid that mawkish display.

Mandela has had 10, maybe more, just about to die, 3 day events over the last few years.

He used up his air time already.

Kojak and Magnum PI still came on ITV4 this morning as usual, and so did Thomas & Friends.

I do say thank god some Royal twat didn't die or it would be 24/7 that for a month.

Its a shame he has died but I have more sympathy for those whose homes and businesses have been flooded overnight.
