I don't much care for Milliband but I thought he went to a comprehensive?

As for Mandela, I did't think much of him either as a president, but as a statesman in terms of reconciliation and the peaceful transfer of power, he was one of the great figures of the 20th century, so this kind of tribute is to be expected.

I don't believe you. The BBC is a hive of scum and Islington privileged progressive liberal elitism villainy. There would be much wailing and gnashing of whitened orthodontic dentures in the corridors over this news.

Mind you, I've no idea, I stopped paying those bastards 4 years ago.

I don't really mind them reporting the event and giving some programming over for a retrospective, I just cannot stand the time they give to everyone to say something as if it is newsworthy.

Ed and CMD fine but it will end with them stopping people in the street and letting them waffle on for the next 3 days.

When it flipped over to the (3 min) local news, I got 2 mins of some local who once met him. Really relevant to South Glos. I am more interested in seeing if anything local is going to affect me - that's the feckin point of the local news !

The queen is not a communist sympathizer, so the BBC won't care as much.

At least it's different to 3 days of reporting on a helicopter shaped piece of tarpaulin covering a Scottish pub.

I expect the ministry of bad news will be busy today.

I've resorted to Talksport. That shows how bad it is.
